What are dental implants?
Learn how millions of Americans are replacing their teeth for life!
Patients no longer have to deal with low-quality temporary solutions like dentures, bridges, or partials. Dental implants are the new leading standard in tooth replacement options. They act and feel just like real teeth with an average lifespan of 20+ years.
Most traditional replacement solutions – like bridges or dentures – need to be replaced every 7 to 10 years resulting in hundreds of wasted dollars. Implants offer a long term solution for patients who want the best quality of life possible.
So, how do they work?
Every single dental implant consists of three parts – the implant, the abutment, & the crown. The implant is made of medical grade titanium. This part is surgically placed into the patient’s jaw bone and left to heal for 4-6 months afterwards.
This implant piece acts as the foundation for the rest of the tooth. Once the bone around the site has healed, the abutment and crown are placed on top of the implant. The end result is a beautiful, natural-looking new tooth!
Few people will ever be able to tell the difference between your implants and your real teeth.

Commonly Asked Questions
- What makes dental implants so great?
Dental implants are the best way of replacing teeth because they utilize titanium. Titanium implants cannot decay and they fuse with the patient’s bone. Once an implant is placed, the patient’s bone “takes” the placement biologically, and it becomes a lifelong lasting root for a crown, bridge, or full arch. Another benefit of implants is that they preserve the jaw bone & prevent it from dwindling away.
- Why can't I just get dentures instead?
As the patient, you will always have the final say on what dental procedure you want done. However, we do have to tell you all of the pro’s and con’s of each treatment type. While regular dentures may be more inexpensive upfront, they are a terrible tooth replacement option long term. The majority of regular denture patients turn out to hate their new teeth months later because they cause pain & discomfort. Additionally, regular dentures do not preserve the jaw bone like implants do.
- Will my procedure hurt?
No! With the miracle of modern medicine, we can put you under during the operation to ensure that pain is not felt. The idea of getting implants is scary to many individuals because of this concern of pain. Any pain you would feel after the operation can be significantly reduced, if not fully mitigated with a doctor’s prescription of pain killers.
